This FAQ is here to help you navigate Walmart’s reporting and payments, so you can focus on growing your success.
1. How does Walmart order reporting work, and when will I see purchases in my dashboard?
It’s normal to see a delay between when a purchase happens and when it appears in your dashboard. There are a few reasons this might occur:
- Reporting Lag: Walmart uses a 3rd party platform called Impact to process sales and earnings data. This comes with a short data processing delay of up to two days to ensure data accuracy, especially during high volume activity.
- Order Processing Windows: Orders are often not reported until they are shipped or confirmed, which may add an additional delay.
- Attribution Window: If your audience clicked but purchased after the 14-day attribution window, the sale may not be credited.
- Tracking Issues: Ad blockers, cookie settings, or switching devices can prevent clicks from being properly tracked.
If it’s been more than 4 days and you still don’t see orders you believe should be attributed to you, feel free to reach out to our support team with any evidence you have (screenshots, timestamps, etc.).
2. Why do click numbers vary across my dashboard views?
It’s normal to see a discrepancy between your Overview and Earnings pages.
- Reporting by Brand, Link, Product, and Campaign: These pages (by Brand, Link, etc.) show clicks associated with earnings.
- Overview Chart: This chart shows summary analytics for revenue, earnings, and clicks across all your brands. Clicks on this page include non-revenue generating clicks, and will be higher than by Brand, Link, Product, and Campaign pages.
3. What’s the timeline for receiving Walmart commission payments?
Payouts follow this general process:
- Purchase Confirmation: Once a consumer checks out, Walmart must validate and verify the sale. This usually takes 2-5 days.
- Invoice & Payment Schedule: Walmart pays Net-120 days after the end of calendar month close where you have earnings. For example: If a purchase is made on April 24, it will be part of your April earnings that will be paid out in September.
